Delta Uranium Inc. is firmly committed to privacy. On-line privacy concerns focus primarily on the protection of ‘personally identifiable’ information ("PII") which an individual or other customer reasonably expects to be kept private. As the term suggests, PII is information that, when associated with an individual, identifies that individual, for example, a customer's name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or credit card number.
The following is Delta Uranium Inc.'s privacy policy (this "Privacy Policy")
What this Privacy Policy Covers
- This Privacy Policy covers Delta Uranium Inc.'s treatment of the PII Delta Uranium Inc. collects when you are on the Delta Uranium Website and when you use any of the features offered by Delta Uranium Inc., including but not limited to the subscription and update service. This policy also covers Delta Uranium Inc.'s treatment of any PII that Delta Uranium Inc.'s business partners share with Delta Uranium Inc.
- This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Delta Uranium Inc. does not own or control, or to people that Delta Uranium Inc. does not employ or manage, including without limitation, any Delta Uranium Inc. affiliates or business partners.
Information Collection and Use
- Users who subscribe to Delta Uranium Inc.'s update will be required to provide a valid email address.
- With the exception of subscribers' email addresses, Delta Uranium Inc. does not collect PII from Users.
- Delta Uranium Inc. automatically receives and records non-PII (i.e. information that does not identify you personally) on the Delta Uranium Website server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information and the page you requested. (User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes.)
- Delta Uranium Inc. is considered the data controller of such information.
- Delta Uranium Inc. may use the information it collects for the following general purposes:
- to protect you and/or Delta Uranium Inc. from error, fraud and unauthorized access and use,
- to improve the Delta Uranium Website,
- to conduct research, and
- to keep you updated in regard to news and other developments concerning Delta Uranium Inc.
Information Sharing and Disclosure by Delta Uranium Inc.
- Delta Uranium Inc. will not sell, trade, rent or otherwise disclose to third parties any PII obtained via the Delta Uranium Website except when:
- we have your consent to share this information;
- we need to share the information with companies who work on behalf of Delta Uranium Inc. to provide a product or service to you (such as the update service) (Please know that whenever we share your PII with Delta Uranium Inc.'s trusted business partners, they work under confidentiality agreements. Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the PII we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us);
- we reasonably believe it is necessary to share PII:
- to investigate, prevent or take action regarding potentially illegal activity or activity that threatens the network,
- to investigate, prevent or take action regarding situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or
- for risk management purposes;
- we are required to disclose PII by reasons of a court order, subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the customer or others, or
- to establish or exercise Delta Uranium Inc.'s legal rights or defend against legal claims;
- we transfer information about you if Delta Uranium Inc. is acquired by or merged with another company. (In this event, Delta Uranium Inc. will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.); or
- when you subscribe to the Delta Uranium Inc. update service, as your email address may be transmitted to the other countries for processing and storage by Delta Uranium Inc. and its affiliates and may be subject to the legal jurisdiction of those countries.
Cookies, Web Beacons and other Usage Data
- When you access the Internet, the computers that host web sites you visit (‘web servers’) automatically receive some anonymous information. This ‘usage data’ may include a record of which pages a web browser has visited. The Delta Uranium Website servers receive usage data when customers visit the Delta Uranium Website and when Users visit other sites as well. Delta Uranium Inc. and/or its business partners may use various kinds of software devices to collect information about Internet use.
- Small files called ‘cookies’ may be attached to your Web browser and your computer.
- Delta Uranium Inc. will not link the information stored in Delta Uranium Inc.'s cookies to any PII you may submit while on the Delta Uranium Website and will not use information about your activities on the Internet together with any information that identifies you without your consent.
- Delta Uranium Inc. may use cookies to identify your browser and save information such as passwords so that the Delta Uranium Website can recognize you.
- Delta Uranium Inc. may use cookies to record session information.
- You may be able to configure your browser to accept or block all or some cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. Note though that disabling cookies may mean that we won't be able provide certain products or services which may be of use to you.
- In addition, Delta Uranium Inc. may use small bits of code called "pixel tags", embedded in some web pages, to make cookies more effective.
- A pixel tag is a tiny image inserted in a webpage and used to record the number and types of views for that page. Delta Uranium Inc. may allow third party pixel tags to be present on the Delta Uranium Website for the purposes of advertising, providing services or data and statistics collection.
- Delta Uranium Inc. will not associate the information these software devices collect with your e-mail address or any other PII.
- Delta Uranium Inc. also uses "web beacons" to access Delta Uranium Inc.'s cookies inside and outside the Delta Uranium Website and in connection with services offered on the Delta Uranium Website.
Links & Third Party Applications
- Delta Uranium Inc. may provide, and the Delta Uranium Website may contain links to other websites. Although we strive to only link to websites that share Delta Uranium Inc.'s high standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the content or practices employed by other sites.
- If you go to another web site, including an affiliate's or business partner's web site (for example by clicking on an advertisement), or request information or enter a contest, be aware that you may be authorizing another company, including an affiliate or business partner, to collect and/or use information you supply. An affiliate's or business partner's use of cookies is subject to its own privacy policies, not this one. When you leave the Delta Uranium Website via a link, access a third party application (such as a widget) or click on an advertisement, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party or advertiser site to determine, among other things, how they will handle any PII they collect from you.
Unsubscribing
- You have the right to unsubscribe to the Delta Uranium Inc. update service at any time.
- Each and every email sent to you in connection with the Delta Uranium Inc. update service provides the opportunity to unsubscribe subscribe and provides instructions as to how to do so.
Confidentiality and Security
- We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your PII and we use commercially reasonable measures to safeguard PII in Delta Uranium Inc.'s possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.
- We limit access to PII about you to employees who, as part of their job, we believe need to come into contact with that information to provide the update service to you.
- We have taken preventative measures to restrict access to sensitive data and to detect and prohibit certain connections and operations by unauthorized Users.
- Despite Delta Uranium Inc.'s high standards, no claim is made as to the impenetrability of the system under unusual circumstances or its resilience to future attacks.
- In the event that you believe that your personal safety is at risk or if you believe that you may be the victim of identity theft or other illegal conduct, please contact the appropriate federal, provincial or local law enforcement agencies directly.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
- Delta Uranium Inc. will keep this Privacy Policy current and as such may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time.
- Delta Uranium Inc. will inform you of any changes we make by sending a notice to the email address provided to Delta Uranium Inc. and/or by posting a prominent announcement on the Delta Uranium Website.
Additional Privacy Protections for Children Using the Internet
- Delta Uranium Inc. recognizes that children, including young teens, may not be able to make informed choices about PII requested on-line.
- Delta Uranium Inc. and the Delta Uranium Website does not target children or teenagers under eighteen years of age for collection of information on-line. Delta Uranium Inc. does not solicit or collect PII targeted at children and/or teenagers under eighteen years of age and does not allow anyone else to do so on the Delta Uranium Website.
